KIAA1598 Full-Length MS Protein Standard (NP_001120683), Labeled with [U- ¹³C₆, ¹⁵N₄]-L-Arginine and [U- ¹³C₆, ¹⁵N₂]-L-Lysine, was produced in human 293 cells (HEK293) with fully chemically defined cell culture medium to obtain incorporation efficiency at Creative-Proteomics. Involved in the generation of internal asymmetric signals required for neuronal polarization. Acts upstream of PI3K (phosphoinositide 3-kinase), by being required for spatially localized PI3K activity. Accumulates asymmetrically in a single neurite before polarization, leading to axon induction for polarization, its absence from the nascent axons siblings by competition preventing the formation of surplus axons.
